Catálogo de la vegetación en jardines domésticos de Bogotá, Colombia

Abstract (en):

Urban domestic gardens contain an important diversity of plants, which provide habitat and food for the animals that live in cities. In order to recognize the diversity of plants in domestic gardens of Bogotá, D.C., seven localities that represent the city landscape diversity were selected. In each locality we inventoried the plant diversity of ten houses. 4110 individuals, 238 species (grasses, shrubs, trees, vines and epiphytes) and 85 families were recorded. A list and a photo catalogue with all species is provided for the first time.

Los jardines domésticos en zonas urbanas contienen una importante diversidad de plantas, las cuales proporcionan hábitat y alimento para diferentes animales que las ciudades albergan. Con el fin de reconocer la diversidad de plantas de jardines domésticos de Bogotá, D.C. se seleccionaron siete localidades que representan la diversidad paisajística de la ciudad. En cada una se inventarió la diversidad de plantas en los jardines de diez casas. Se registraron 4110 individuos, 238 especies (hierbas, arbustos, árboles, enredaderas y epifitas) y 85 familias. Se provee por primera vez un listado y un catálogo fotográfico de las especies registradas.
