The distribution of Anthurium atramentarium in Colombia is expanded, this specie had been reported as endemic from Antioquia department. The necessity to develop strategies to protect species of Anthurium with black spathe that are distributed in Colombia is mentioned.

Se amplía la distribución de Anthurium atramentarium (Araceae) en Colombia, especie que había sido reportada como endémica para el departamento de Antioquia. Se menciona la necesidad de generar estrategias para proteger a las especies de Anthurium de espata negra distribuidas en Colombia.
