We show the results of a rapid characterization of anurans at the highland complex Los Nevados, Chilí-Barragán
and Las Hermosas, which are located in the Central Andes of the departments of Quindío, Tolima and Valle del Cauca, Colombia. We registered 263 individuals belonging to 11 species of the families Craugastoridae and Bufonidae. Local richness is low (3-5 species), but most species (8/11) are endemic to Colombia and at least two (Osornophryne percrassa and Pristimantis simoteriscus) are listed with some risk of threat. Most species exhibit nocturnal-arboreal and ground-breeding behavior; the known distribution range for three species is
expanded (Pristimantis simoterus, Pristimantis obmutescens, Pristimantis vicarius). We also present an updated list of anuran species recorded at the páramo ecosystem on Colombia. We hope that our records help with basic information about the actual presence of species in this ecosystem and provide a baseline for the eventual establishment of monitoring plans.
